ABOUT OUR LADY OF THE ABANDONED CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Head of School's Welcome,

It is written in the Book of Ecclesiastes 3:1:”There is an appointed time for everything under the heavens…” Yes, the time spent at school can very well be one of those appointed moments in one’s life.

As a  student, the years of studies are times to accumulate and gain precious knowledge. After all, one of the greatest gifts a person could receive from his parents is EDUCATION.

The School Year 2017-2018, for us at Our Lady of the Abandoned Catholic School and the rest of the schools affiliated with the Diocese of Parañaque Parochial Schools Association (DOPPSA) is a time of transition. At first Semester, School Directors were moved and assigned to other DOPPSA Schools. As your new School Head, this movement has enabled me to journey anew.

So far, Since July 03, 2017, our date of transfer, my experience in OLACS can be characterized as challenging and meaningful.

My dear students may your journey in OLACS be filled with rich and joyful memories from fruitful memories of learning as you progress from being toddlers to be more mature boys and girls. Move forward, guided by your dreams. Look ahead, the future awaits you.

May Our Lady of the Abandoned be your inspiration. May she guide you and keep you under her loving hands.

In  Christ Jesus,

Rev. Fr. Jerico H. Habunal
School Director

Our Philosophy

Catholic Education is a concrete expression of the mission entrusted by Christ in the Church He founded through education. The Church seeks to form members to proclaim the good news and to translate His proclamation into action.

Catholic education is an integral evangelization intimately woven withBasic Education Curriculum (BEC) / (K-12)and service particularly to the developing communities, thus, providing avenues for personal encounter with Christ.

Religion is the core of the curriculum permeating every aspect of human knowledge through the subjects taught, in the light of the gospel values.

Catholic Schools form part of the saving mission of the Churchdeeply rooted in the three-fold functions (kingly, priestly, and prophetic) of Christ, integrating faith and life.
